White water Rafting in Ladakh
Commercial rafting is possible on Indus & Zanskar rivers
in Ladakh. We organize both day trips as well as multi day expeditions on
both the rivers.
1. Rafting on Indus River:
Following options are available on the Indus river
(also known as the Lion River):

Upshi to Karu: This is a gentle, scenic run. This is a one-day stretch.

Hemis to Choglamsar: An easy stretch with a few major rapids. This is also a
one-day stretch. Both these stretches can be combined to make a multi day
expedition.

Phey to Nimo: This is easily the most popular single day stretch because of
its proximity from Leh and the easy but exciting rapids of Grade 2 & 3.

Nimo to Alchi: This stretch is a difficult one as the Zanskar river joins
Indus at Nimo and the the rapids can go upto Grade 5.

2. Rafting on Zanaskar River
This over 450 kms. trip can easily be described as a ride on the roof of the
world as the elevation over here rarely drops to less than 10,000 feet.
This is a multi-day trip (5 - 10 days depending upon the client's
requirements), where we are self contained for the entire trip.
